The Saturday Club held an under 14’s and under 16’s football cup competition to end the year on a high!

The winners in the under 14’s were the sharks with the all stars coming second.

T3 3v3 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT LINFORD CHRISTIE 27TH OCTOBER 2010
October 31st, 2010
We took 9 teams down to Linford Christie for the first T3 tournament to be held in West London.
All our teams played really well and once again we reached the final in both the under 16’s and under 19’s.
Unfortunately once again both teams lost, the under 16’s led 2-0 up until half time but lost 4-2, which was still a fantastic achievement once again.
Another consolation was that Mohamed Abdelrahman won player of the tournament for the under 16’s.

CAMDEN UNITY CUP SEPTEMBER 11TH 2010
September 11th, 2010
We took 2 teams to the under 14’s Camden unity cup football tournament in Cumberland Market, Camden.
The cup has been running for 11 years and there was a lower than usual turnout due to funding issues.
Never the less, 5 teams took part in all and our B team came top of the group winning all 4 of their games which meant they made it through to the finals!
Unfortunately they lost 2-1 in the finals with Daniel Fortune scoring a great goal to equalise. One consolation was that Pati Smith won player of the tournament.
The team spirit and sportsmanship was excellent throughout and both teams were a real credit to the club.
Aside from the football there was also a fair on which our members enjoyed thoroughly inlcuding a gladiators inflatable and a spinning bull.
The members also got to meet the Mayor of Camden!
The members comments will be posted next week at the club.
